Job description

We have reimagined our contingent staffing plan with a new Enterprise Resource Pool that offers many options for flexibility, variety, and career growth, while supporting our collective mission to deliver outstanding whole-person care to our flourishing communities. The Common Spirit Mountain Region Enterprise Resource Pool consists of both clinical and allied roles that flex or float throughout the Common Spirit Mountain Region system. Associates within the Enterprise Pool will have the opportunity to float to multiple units within one facility, a geographic group of facilities, or to all of our facilities. This pool will provide additional resources to support and supplement the workload and staffing needs across the system.


As a Respiratory Therapist, you will act as a control operator of mono-place chambers, operating under the general direction of leadership and within federal/state laws, DNV, and UHMS guidelines.
Every day you will assist physicians with implementing hyperbaric treatment plans, ensure the safe and efficient daily operation of Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment and associated equipment, and provide necessary supervision. You will also conduct safety-specific education/drills, treat emergency hyperbaric complications under physician supervision, and manage daily activities, adjusting manpower based on volumes.
To be successful in this role, you will possess expertise in hyperbaric oxygen therapy and chamber operation, strong understanding of relevant regulations (federal, state, DNV, UHMS), and the ability to work independently to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant hyperbaric treatment delivery and departmental operations.

  • Delivers respiratory care procedures to patients in general, acute, critical care, and emergency areas according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs therapeutic modalities including patient monitoring, medication delivery, ventilation management, expansion therapy, and bronchial hygiene.
  • Assists in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency care by providing airway maintenance and management, cardiac support, and other assistance as needed to expedite patient and physician needs.
  • Performs diagnostic testing including ABGs, PFTs, EKGs, cardiac, bronchoscopy, and pulse oximetry.
  • Develops care plan from thorough assessment via protocol criteria or directed physician order.
  • Provides patient and family education and teaching.

Level 3 Enterprise Float Pool Pay and Benefits:

  • Base rate $75.00/hr + Eligible for evening, night, and weekend differentials
  • Must be available to travel to all facilities (Colorado, Western Kansas, and Utah)
  • For Enterprise Pool Tier 3/Systemwide hires, dependent on location individual assignments may qualify for a $2,500 payout each. Subject to change.
  • Full Time/Part Time: 24 months of hospital RN experience in unit type/specialty area in which candidate will float
  • PRN: 24 months of experience in unit type/specialty area - **NOT CURRENTLY HIRING FOR
  • PRN roles are eligible for an additional 15% differential

  • High School Diploma/ G.E.D. 
  • Certified/ Licensed Respiratory- Must have current state Licensure (RLT) in applicable state of employment. Must have CRT by NBRC
  • Basic Life Support- American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support- American Heart Association- Current ACLS certification from upon hire or obtain within 6 months of hire (for locations in Kansas, ACLS is required within one (1) year of hire/transfer date).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support- Current PALS certification upon hire or obtain within 6 months of hire for St. Anthony North Health Campus, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Mary Corwin, St. Thomas More, Mercy, Longmont, St. Anthony Summit, St. Elizabeth, Bob Wilson, St. Catherine Dodge, St. Catherine Garden City, Penrose
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program- Current NRP certification upon hire or obtain within 6 months of hire for St. Anthony North Health Campus, St. Francis Medical Center (NICU dept only), St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More, Mercy, Longmont, Bob Wilson, St. Catherine Dodge, St. Catherine Garden City, St. Anthony Summit, St. Elizabeth, Penrose
