Part Time Medical positions often offer flexible scheduling, which may include mornings, evenings, or weekend shifts depending on the facility’s needs. Schedules can range from a few hours per week to several half or full days, making the role ideal for students, parents, or those seeking supplemental income. Work hours are usually set in advance but may sometimes require on-call availability or the ability to cover additional shifts at short notice. This flexibility supports work-life balance, but candidates should be prepared to adapt to changing needs in a busy healthcare environment.

Outstanding interpersonal skills, punctuality, and a flexible attitude are especially valued for part-time roles due to varied shifts and patient needs. These skills enable professionals to provide quality care and maintain smooth operations within medical teams, even with a limited or variable schedule.

What is a part time medical?

A Part Time Medical job typically involves working fewer hours than a full-time position in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, clinic, or private practice. Responsibilities vary based on the role but may include patient care, administrative tasks, or support services. These positions are ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, such as students, semi-retired professionals, or those balancing other commitments. • Moves fast, solves problems, and supports each other
  • Is actively expanding across new markets and services

That means real opportunity for people who show up, do great work, and want to grow.

At Genesis Reference Labs (GRL), every specimen we receive represents a patient waiting for answers. As a Medical Courier, you'll play a critical role in delivering those answers by ensuring specimens arrive safely, accurately, and on time to our laboratory.

We're looking for a dependable, motivated individual who enjoys working independently, values consistency, and takes pride in providing exceptional service.

Position Overview

As a Part-Time Medical Courier, you'll be responsible for collecting medical specimens from healthcare facilities throughout the Denver metro area and transporting them to our central laboratory in Centennial. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys driving and working independently while still being an important part of a larger team.

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Start Time: Approximately 5:00 PM
Route Duration: 3-5 hours

What You'll Do
  • Pick up medical specimens from assigned client locations along a designated route
  • Transport specimens safely and efficiently to Genesis Reference Labs
  • Maintain proper chain-of-custody procedures and documentation
  • Ensure specimens are handled according to temperature-sensitive and time-sensitive requirements
  • Communicate route updates, delays, or issues to laboratory staff
  • Provide professional, friendly service at all client locations
  • Follow all traffic laws and safe driving practices
Requirements:What We're Looking For
  • Valid Colorado driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable personal vehicle in good working condition
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Basic smartphone proficiency for navigation and communication
  • Ability to safely transport biohazard and medical specimen containers in accordance with company protocols
The Ideal Candidate

You are dependable, organized, and take pride in being someone others can count on. You enjoy working independently, managing your own route, and delivering excellent service every day. Most importantly, you understand that behind every specimen is a patient counting on accurate and timely results.
