Job description

Medical Assistant to provide essential administrative and clinical support in a fast paced environment, acting as a bridge between patient care and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting physicians with physical examinations and minor office procedures.
Preparing patients for exams, performing basic wound care, changing dressings, and providing care instructions.
Assisting with orthotic casting and exposing/developing X-rays (If certified)
Maintaining clean and safe exam rooms and sterilizing equipment.
Scheduling patient appointments for outbound referrals and maintaining electronic health records (EHR).
Answering phones, managing patient follow-up questions or concerns, and corresponding with other healthcare facilities to facilitate continuity of care
Managing inventory of medical supplies, ordering new stock, and keeping clinics clean.
Skills and Qualifications
Proficiency in patient scheduling software, basic medical terminology, and clinical procedures.
Strong communication, empathy, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Medical Assistant training is preferred, though not required.
Strong knowledge of podiatric terminology is highly valued., excellent communication, patient empathy, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for long periods and handle equipment such as cast saws.
