Medical Assistant
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team. Your job will be to provide welcoming care to our patients.

A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant with Salud:
As a Medical Assistant, your genuine spirit of caring welcomes patients as the first step in treatment prior to seeing the Doctor, NP, or PA. You will determine the nature of the patient's visit and obtain vitals. Your thorough and concise chart documentation will provide clear necessary communication. You will maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.
Qualifications
What you need to be qualified for this job:
  • The ability to work with people from all walks of life and to meet them in their place of need
  • Current Medical Assistant Certificate

A Medical Assistant not certified/registered upon hire is required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire. If an employee does not pass, they will be given an additional 3 months to retake the test.
All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Medical Assistants without any formal Medical Assistant training are required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.

Please Note: This position REQUIRES a Medical Assistant (MA) Certification. A CNA certification is NOT equivalent to a Medical Assistant certification and cannot be accepted for this position.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, is preferred

Experience:
  • Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
