Job description

Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator (EMVO)

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator (EMVO) PART-TIME Opportunity

Pay Rate : $10.00 per hour

We’re hiring Drivers that will respond to emergency and/or non-emergency requests for transportation needs and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.  

 Responsibilities: 

  • Drivers will respond to operation and dispatch requests and use the necessary tools, maps and addresses to efficiently transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner. 
  • Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights. 
  • Take pride in maintaining a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed. 
  • Use appropriate communication methods including standard radio transmission codes to effectively respond and route patients and comply with the company’s information security standards.  
  • Drivers will operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair as well as be able to use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary. 
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow drivers and operations team.

MinimumRequired Qualifications: 

  • State Driver’s License 
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) 
  • CPR card 
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy 
  • Pass Physical Agility Test 
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
