Job description

SIGN ON BONUS: $3,000 (full time eligible external new hires)

SHIFTS: 

     Med/Surg full time nights 36 hours per week, rotate every 3rd weekend and holidays

     ICU part time days one 12-hour day a week

Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides direct patient care. Applies knowledge and skills by focusing on patient’s personal care, activity, nutrition, hydration, elimination, and prevention of health complications. Offers exceptional service and support to patients and their families during times of physical and cognitive ill health. Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services, improved patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients and families.
Acts in accordance with DNV Primary Stroke Center guidelines and educational requirements therein.

• Answers patients call lights.
• Assists with simple procedures as defined in work area under the direction of the RN.
• Takes/monitors and records vital signs, weights, and intake and output.

Education:
• Graduate of high school or equivalent.
• Minimum of 75-hour nurse aide course.
• Validation Code of “Eligible” status by the Director Care Worker Registry.
• Basic computer/typing skills.
• Medical Terminology course strongly recommended.
Experience:
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Mandatory Reporter certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
• Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
