Job description

We are seeking a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) to join our small, collaborative team. The ideal candidate will support coding needs across general practice and specialty areas such as psychiatry. This role involves reviewing medical documentation, accurately assigning CPT and ICD-10 codes, managing authorizations and insurance registrations, and frequently communicating with clinicians, payers, billing staff, and patients. Familiarity with proprietary EHR systems and strong attention to detail are important for success.


Hours - Part-time - 20-30 hours per week - Monday-Friday - exact schedule is flexible, but must be in our billing office located in Seven Valleys PA

Responsibilities

  • Review medical documentation for coding accuracy
  • Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes
  • Identify and resolve documentation issues
  • Obtain required authorizations
  • Register insurance information accurately
  • Communicate regularly with clinicians, payers, and billing staff
  • Coordinate billing processes and patient interactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical coding
  • Proficiency with CPT and ICD-10 coding - E&M is a plus
