About the Role

Paradigm is looking for a dependable, hands-on Part-Time FDM Production Assistant to support our additive manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has strong attention to detail, and is interested in learning more about 3D printing and additive manufacturing.


The Production Assistant will help keep our FDM printers running efficiently, maintain a clean and organized production environment, and assist with day-to-day production tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Swap build plates on FDM 3D printers as prints are completed.
  • Start and monitor 3D printing jobs.
  • Load and change filament as needed.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and routine printer upkeep.
  • Clean and organize the warehouse and production areas.
  • Assist with general production and material-handling tasks.
  • Inspect prints and equipment for basic issues and report problems when necessary.
  • Follow Paradigm’s safety standards, procedures, and best practices at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Learn and follow established production processes to help ensure consistent quality and output.
  • Ad hoc requests and tasks as the business requires.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Dependable, hardworking, and willing to take initiative.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.
  • Able to stay organized and manage repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to safely lift and move, 50 lbs or less, materials and equipment as needed.
  • Interest in 3D printing, additive manufacturing, or related technology is a plus.
  • Previous experience with 3D printers or manufacturing is helpful but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Commitment to following all Paradigm safety standards and procedures.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position, approximately 10–20 hours per week, will include weekends. Scheduling can be discussed based on production needs and candidate availability.
