Family Description
As an Assembly/Test Manufacturing Technician for our weekend shifts, shift 1 is Fri/Sat 11 pm-11:30 am (12hrs) and Sat/Sun 11 pm-11:30 am (12hrs). Shift 2 is Sat 11:am -11:30 pm (12hrs), Sun 11 am-11:30 pm(12hrs), plus 20% shift differential.
With the Nokia New Product Introduction (NPI) team in Allentown, PA, you play a critical role in ensuring product quality through hands-on assembly and testing of line cards and systems. You will collaborate closely with engineers and quality assurance professionals to create staging tests that mimic real-world conditions, supporting troubleshooting and failure analysis efforts. This position offers a dynamic weekend shift environment, where you'll thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact setting that values teamwork and innovation. You will enjoy the flexibility of two12-hour weekend shifts with the potential for overtime, empowering you to focus on product excellence while adapting to the evolving needs of the telecommunications landscape. Responsibilities
Conduct assembly and system tests of Line Cards and Products for Nokia New Product Introduction (NPI) workflows.
Perform root cause analysis and support corrective actions for component and system-level failures.
Ensure the highest product quality by executing thorough staging tests for customer deployments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize assembly processes and improve product reliability.
Adapt to evolving tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Prepare detailed documentation for test results and technical findings to facilitate knowledge sharing.
Embrace continuous learning and apply new skills in the Opto/optical field to drive innovation.
Qualifications
You have:
Minimum of a 2-year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize responsibilities
Willingness to work overtime as needed
It would be nice if you also had:
4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
