Description:

St. John Paul II Catholic Church & Academy is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Part-Time Maintenance Person to help care for our rectory, church and school facilities.

This flexible, as-needed, position is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of maintenance tasks and takes pride in keeping buildings and grounds safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing general building repairs and routine maintenance
  • Assisting with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projects
  • Maintaining church and school grounds, including seasonal outdoor work
  • Setting up and taking down tables, chairs, and equipment for parish and school events
  • Identifying maintenance needs and helping ensure a safe environment for parishioners, students, staff, and visitors
  • Other maintenance duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • General maintenance and repair experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work indoors and outdoors
  • Dependable and trustworthy
  • Willingness to support the mission and values of a Catholic parish and school
