Job description

Job Summary

The Mail Clerk will be responsible for collecting, sorting, and delivering mail within our campus of administrative and manufacturing locations. This individual will also handle incoming and outgoing packages, track mail inventory, and maintain mailroom equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sort and distribute mail to different departments and buildings within the campus including all UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, etc.
  • Collect and prepare mail for outgoing delivery, including weighing, labeling, and stamping.
  • Handle packages and parcels, including loading, unloading, and scanning.
  • Track mail inventory and report any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain mailroom equipment, such as mail carts, scanners, and postage meters.
  • Ensure mailroom security and confidentiality of mail items.
  • Follow mailroom policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors.
  • Utilize all policy and procedures within campus buildings and plants including but not limited to PPE and no zone areas.
  • Maintain communication with fleet department for all company vehicle maintenance as needed.
  • Delivery of campus groceries, weekly.
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • This position will consist of time in an office setting and inside a vehicle, with occasional exposure in a manufacturing plant. Manufacturing plant environment may be dirty, dusty, and hotter/colder than office settings.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used (company allowance provided):
    • Eye and hearing protection is required
    • Safety toe shoes (steel/composite) on the production floor.
    • Other PPE as defined by management within assigned department
