Luau Bartender, Part Time
Rate of Pay: $28.24/hour

Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii... King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has an opening for a talented Part Time Luau Bartender to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.

Brief Summary of Job: Duties and responsibilities as a Bartender for requests by servers of a non-public bar.

 Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
  • Prepares, mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Sets up bar for proper service.
  • Responsible for adhering to applicable liquor laws.
  • Ensures that the bar area is in a clean, orderly condition.
  • May slice, pit and prepare items for garnishing drinks.
  • Properly store all product.
  • Keeps supplies and equipment ready.
  • Report any missing/found articles or equipment/property damage to management.
  • Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications:

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Must meet minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages. Minimum two (2) years of bartending experience in banquets, events, and/or Hotel F&B outlet required. High school or equivalent education. Ability to operate a computerized point of sale system. TB clearance card required.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: English speaking or bilingual. Operate cash register. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
