Job description

Type: Part-time (19 to 20 hours weekly)

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM); Wednesdays and Saturdays (8:30 AM to 12:30 PM)

Pay: Starting $13-$15 per hour.

  • Compensation based on skill level at hourly rate.

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Parking: Not Provided

The duties would include, but are not limited to:

- Obtains patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, and patient allergens.

- Performs clinic front desk duties, including but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check in/out, coordinate and facilitate accurate patient appointment.

- Communicates with physicians and faculty practice staff any urgent issues or patient relations issues impacting clinic activity.

- Perform patient scheduling, registering, placing reminder phone-calls and following-up on patient no shows in a timely manner.

- Check and maintain inventory of supplies. Organize medicine supply cabinet with special attention to expiration dates of medicines.

- Greeting and aiding patients

- Checking in patients, taking payments, and scheduling appointments

- Superior reviews from patients concerning customer service

- Handling incoming calls, responding to emails, and other communications

- General administrative duties as assigned such as filing, data entry, scanning, faxing, etc.

- Accurately enter and update patient admin information in electronic health record system

- Protecting and observing patient confidentiality

Experience:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

  • Medical Office Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Bilingual a plus
