Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting the US Army? We're looking for a system administrator who specializes in enterprise-level system and network administration and managing secure, multi-domain environments to help our customer deploy and maintain mission-critical IT infrastructure, strengthen their cybersecurity posture, and enhance the readiness of technology systems in support of US Army operations and activities.
As a system administrator on our project, you'll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available and implement the best strategies for updating and patching critical systems. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like risk management and project management applications and methodologies. We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. Work with us and resolve daily challenges as we improve the reliability, security, and performance of our customer's systems and environments.

You Have:

  • Experience with basic administration of Cisco VTC or VoIP systems
  • Experience in using problem-solving and communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical users and collaborate across multiple teams and external entities
  • Knowledge of workflows required to install, configure, administer, manage, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls and Windows physical and virtual server environments and operating systems
  • Ability to maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures, and provide reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience in a professional work environment, Associate's degree and 7+ years of experience in a professional work environment, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • DoD 8570 or 8140 compliant IAT Level II Certification or CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience as an ISSO, ISSM, or ISSE in an Army, Service Component Command, Combatant Command, or Joint intelligence environment
  • Experience coordinating across multiple IT-related organizations across echelons, both internal and external, to complete complex coordination or troubleshooting tasks
  • Experience with using structured troubleshooting frameworks or ticketing systems, such as Jira, Kanban, or Microsoft Office365, to document issues, complete root case analysis, and build a local knowledge base for the team
  • Knowledge of systems security procedures and compliance measures, including maintaining and reviewing audit files, and adhering to government policies and industry standards
  • Ability to assist in planning and executing IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, or new technology deployments
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
