Position Summary
Table 12 Kitchen & Bar is seeking an experienced part-time Line Cook to join our back-of-house team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality, consistent dishes while working as part of a strong team.
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling. Part-time team members are not eligible for company health, dental, or 401(k) benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and timing guidelines.
- Set up, stock, and maintain cleanliness of assigned station before, during, and after each shift.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with prep work, portioning, and labeling as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with fellow cooks, servers, and kitchen management.
- Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation for every dish served.
- Support opening and closing kitchen duties, including restocking and cleaning equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- 1–2+ years of line cook experience required in a full-service or high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong working knowledge of food preparation techniques and commercial kitchen equipment
- ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule: Part-time; flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Hours: Approximately 15-25 hours per week, depending on availability and business needs
- Pay Range: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience
Working Environment
Fast-paced commercial kitchen, requiring standing for extended periods, exposure to heat, and frequent lifting, bending, and reaching. Must adhere to safety and sanitation standards at all times.
