Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is looking for a Part Time Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

As a Line Cook, you will:


Provide day-to-day kitchen operations: Prepare and cook food in a manner that will ensure a quality appearance and taste, as well as prepare meals as promptly as possible. While consistently maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen at all times.

Be a problem solver. Tackle situations using your analytical ability and critical thinking skills. Be empowered to carry out responsibilities with limited supervision using your strong organizational and time management skills.


Contribute to authentic team connections. Develop, maintain and enhance positive relations with all customers and team members.


Other duties as assigned.


What we need from you:

  • Have one (1) or more years of recent and related cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant or gaming environment.
  • High School Diploma. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
  • Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • WHMIS food safe certificate (can be completed upon hire through Century Casinos).
  • Journeyman cook certificate or equivalent, when required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check.
