Job description

Description LIBRARY PAGE HOURS / SHIFT: Part-time (10 hours/week) with flexible shift options available, including days, evenings, and weekends. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Shelve materials using the Dewey Classification System and alphabetical filing systems. Check shelves to ensure materials are filed properly.

Organize materials such as books, audio books and DVDs and other resources. Maintain the overall cleanliness and neatness of the library shelves and book displays. Stand or walk for extended periods while performing shelving and maintenance tasks.

Kneel or bend down to access lower shelves or reach books on the floor. Reach and/or use step stools for accessing materials on higher parts of shelves. REQUIREMENTS: Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.

Ability to lift and carry books and materials up to 25 pounds. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Knowledge of library classification systems and books genres is a plus.
