Job description

Supports strategic projects under the agency's Data Scientist. Work involves performing a wide range of data analysis and data science project work or the department. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.

Essential Duties:

  • Assists in developing and maintaining data ecosystems
  • Analyzes data and applies statistical techniques to draw meaningful conclusions
  • Assists with special projects under the guidance of the Data Scientist
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a discipline related to area of assignment

Experience: Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent

Other Conditions:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age, and currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college/university.
  • Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.

Competencies:

Considerable knowledge of

  • Data analysis and interpretation

Proficient skill in:

  • Maintaining effective working relationships with others
  • Communicating technical information effectively
  • Using database management systems and associated applications
  • Using computers and applicable programs, applications, and systems
