Civil Litigation firm is looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant with experience in civil litigation to undertake a variety of administrative tasks for our attorneys. Work hours are flexible and can be negotiated.
Responsibilities
Preparing pleadings and other legal documents via digital dictation
E-filing pleadings in the Wisconsin and Federal Courts
Process daily e-filings that come in from the Courts
Answer Phone calls
Track deadlines and/or task due dates
File management - including filing and case file set-up
Assist with accounting and client billing matters
Assist with medical record requests and collection and organization
Skills
Experience as legal assistant in civil litigation, preferred
Knowledge of legal terminology, Court, State and Federal and E-filing systems
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and the ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, other office equipment)
Excellent time-management and typing skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Be a self-starter
Work well with limited supervision
