Job description

Required: 3+ years of law firm accounting experience, including trust (IOLTA) accounting. Applications without this experience will not be considered.We are seeking an experienced Legal Accountant / Bookkeeper to support multiple law firm clients in a fully remote role.If you are looking for an exciting and rewarding challenge as a part-time or full-time accountant/bookkeeper working with a variety of clients, then we have the opportunity for you! We are a growing, outsource management firm and demand for our services is increasing!RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage legal billing and client invoicingMaintain and reconcile trust (IOLTA) accountsProcess Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableProvide vendor managementPerform account reconciliationsEnsure synchronization and accuracy across legal practice management and accounting systemsPrepare month-end financialsProcess payroll (including preparation of 1099s)Communicate regularly with clients and internal teamMeet all deadlinesSupport special projects as neededQUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of law firm accounting experience, including trust (IOLTA) accounting (required)Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred)Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookHands-on experience with other accounting software, ActionStep, Caret, Centerbase, Tabs3, Clio, Aderant, Elite, PC Law, or SurePoint/LMS (a plus)Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work under pressureStrong ability to learn and adapt to new software and technologySUCCESS FACTORS:Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to multitask and be adaptable in a dynamic environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills across all levelsExcellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently in a fully remote settingHigh level of professionalism and confidentialityJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule: Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay: Bonus payEducation: Bachelor's (preferred)Experience: 3 years of accounting, including trust accounting (required)License/Certification: CPA (plus, not required)Work Location: Remote
