For the Landscape CDL Driver, this means delivering bulk materials to job sites and customer locations with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency, while ensuring vehicles and delivery areas are well maintained and organized. By working collaboratively with team members and interacting professionally with customers, the Landscape CDL Driver helps ensure deliveries are completed on time and in alignment with Adams’ standards for quality and service.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Deliver bulk landscape materials to customer locations and job sites with a focus on safety and accuracy.
  • Load, transport, and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and minimal product loss
  • Verify delivery orders, quantities, and locations to ensure accurate and complete deliveries
  • Operate delivery vehicles and equipment safely, following all traffic laws and company safety guidelines
  • Maintain clean, organized vehicles and ensure routine inspections and basic maintenance are completed
  • Communicate with the Bulk Yard team regarding delivery schedules, order details, and any changes.
  • Interact professionally with customers during deliveries and ensuring a positive experience
  • Coordinate with yard team members to ensure efficient loading and staging of materials for delivery routes
  • Monitor delivery schedules and adjust as needed to support timely service and changing priorities
  • Assist in the yard as needed, including loading materials, and supporting daily operations
  • Report any delivery issues, delays, vehicle concerns, or customer feedback to supervisors promptly
  • Follow direction from supervisors and support overall landscape and bulk yard operations as needed

What you bring to the Farm

  • Valid Class B CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate delivery trucks and equipment safely
  • Ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle.
  • Previous experience in delivery driving, landscaping, construction, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check, including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review and drug test
  • Working knowledge of safe driving practices, material handling, and equipment use
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, loading, and working in outdoor environments in varying conditions
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries and proper handling of materials
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently while also collaborating with yard team members and supervisors
  • Ability to maintain clean, organized, and safe vehicles and work areas
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members
  • Demonstrates reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic
  • Exhibits enthusiasm, positivity, and knowledge of Adams’ products and quality

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to manage varying business demands
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 80 pounds (with assistance)
