Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide and support classroom instruction for SLCC's Corporate College.
โ€ข Maintain a safe, orderly and up-to-date lab area for the application of multiple labs (if applicable).
โ€ข Develop and maintain professional relations with the industry through industry visits and advisory committee meetings.
โ€ข Maintain classroom hours as listed on the course syllabus.
โ€ข Prepare and provide course syllabi and instructional materials to students.
โ€ข Evaluate and review students' progress in attaining goals and objectives.
โ€ข Keep appropriate records of testing and grading, as per college standards.
โ€ข Utilize technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, communicate with others and facilitate learning.
โ€ข Maintain student discipline through effective classroom management.
โ€ข Attain, maintain and review program certification requirements, as appropriate.
โ€ข Fulfill professional assignments in accordance with the South Louisiana Community College calendar and contractual obligations.
โ€ข Partner with Business and Industry to promote program.
Required Education:

Required Experience:
โ€ข Certifications relative to the field of instruction
โ€ข 5 years industry experience
Preferred Education:
โ€ข Associate Degree
Passing pre-employment criminal background and drug screen are required as a condition of employment.
