Rate of Pay: $42.82/hour + DOE
Summary
Under the direction of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) and in accordance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; performs clinical laboratory functions in a timely manner following specified policies, procedures and protocols. Performs moderate complexity testing on blood and body fluids along with performing venipunctures, EKG’s and specimen processing. This position includes coordinating the TFHD Point of Care (POC) program.

Minimum Education/Experience
Certificate of completion from college or vocational school or 60 semester units in a health science related discipline, including chemistry and biology.
Required Licenses/Certifications
California Medical Laboratory Technician License (MLT)
Other Experience/Qualifications
Required:
- Functionally knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures in a hospital based clinical laboratory environment.
Preferred:
Phlebotomy and EKG experience
Operations experience in the areas of chemistry, hematology, serology, coagulation, and transfusion services
Previous experience in a hospital laboratory setting
2 years experience as an MLT
