Job Title: aboratory Technician(Part-Time)
Work Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible daily hours upon selection of the right candidate)

Job Description:
The Part-Time Laboratory Technician will support the laboratory by performing routine tasks, study preparation, and general lab maintenance. After receiving on-the-job training, the technician will execute routine responsibilities independently and assist scientists with study work, sampling, and in-process testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash laboratory glassware (using both washer and manual soaking methods)

  • Calibrate pH and conductivity meters

  • Prepare solutions and reagents

  • Participate in laboratory safety audits

  • Order and stock general laboratory supplies

  • Conduct inventory checks and routine cleaning of freezers and cold rooms

  • Handle package pick-up from shipping/receiving

  • Package and autoclave lab parts

  • Review laboratory logbooks

  • Assist with routine maintenance of laboratory analyzers and instruments (e.g., NOVA FLEX2, pH/conductivity meter, ViCell, SoloVPE, AKTA Avant, HPLC)

  • Support laboratory 6S initiatives

  • Coordinate equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and pipette calibrations

  • Assist scientists with study work and perform routine assays

  • Complete weekly housekeeping checklists for the laboratory

  • Obtain quotes and lead times from vendors for study materials

Qualifications:

  • Background in Biology or Biotechnology required

  • Bachelor’s degree in science preferred

  • Entry-level role; ideal for recent graduates or individuals with 0–3 years of laboratory experience (academic or industry)
