    SUMMARY
    Oversee and maintain the daily procedures in a multi-function student-use lab.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    1. Assist/tutor students using lab software and equipment;
    2. Set up programs in the labs for faculty and students;
    3. Monitor daily, weekly and monthly backups;
    4. Provide assistance to students using the computer lab during registration periods;
    5. Maintain inventories of and secure supplies, equipment and lab materials;
    6. Secure all exams, computers, lab materials and audio/visual aids;
    7. Assist supervisor in the collection of data for studies, surveys and reports;
    8. Assist in developing lab schedules;
    9. Assist instructors in the labs;
    10. Assist supervisor with orientations;
    11. Provide input on new lab software and hardware;
    12. Log all current and potential hardware and software problems;
    13. Create computerized databases;
    14. Install hardware and software upgrades; and
    15. Conduct demonstrations to students and instructors on use of computers, lab equipment and web learning with emphasis on ADA equipment.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
    EDUCATION
    High school degree or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.
    EXPERIENCE
    Three (3) years of related work experience required.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    1. Proficient in related software within assign area;
    2. Demonstrated competencies in personal computer hardware/software installation and troubleshooting;
    3. Able to maintain computer hardware and software;
    4. Able to work off hours; such as evenings and weekends, and over published college hours as needed;
    5. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance;
    6. Able to effectively communicate with and work well with faculty and administrators; and
    7. Knowledge of computer and data communications equipment.
