Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, resourceful, and sharp IT Support Technician to provide on-site technical support at our Montreal office.

This is a flexible, part-time position operating on a casual/as-needed basis, averaging up to 1 to 2 days per week depending on operational needs and office deployments. It is a perfect fit for a tech-savvy individual looking for a versatile role in a creative and highly technological environment.

This role goes far beyond traditional IT ticketing. You will be our go-to, semi-internal resource handling day-to-day office needs, working alongside our external IT provider and office coordinator.

Qualifications

1. User Support & Office Logistics

  • Provide quick, efficient, and friendly Tier 1 (day-to-day) tech support to on-site employees.

  • Take ownership of conference room setups—proactively troubleshooting ongoing issues (audio/video, projection, and Teams/Zoom connectivity).

  • Maintain general office IT health, including internet connectivity, printers, and general peripheral troubleshooting.

2. Workstation & Equipment Management

  • Set up, configure, maintain, and image workstations (PC and Mac) for existing staff and onboarding new hires.

  • Manage, wire, and physically organize network equipment and hardware at the office.

  • Assist with routine physical security backups and local data maintenance.

Qualifications & Profile

  • Practical IT experience, currently pursuing or possessing a background in an IT-related field (Computer Science, Software/IT Engineering, or a DEC/AEC in Network Administration / IT Support).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Familiarity with both Windows and macOS environments.

    • Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, routers, cabling, IP addresses).

    • Comfort setting up and troubleshooting hardware, audio/video gear, and office equipment.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Resourcefulness & Fast Learner

    • Highly motivated and capable of working independently as the main IT contact on-site.

    • A genuine interest in creative environments, media infrastructure, and an aspiration to learn DevOps methodologies.

Work Conditions
