Job description

We are seeking a Part-Time employee, to join our team as an Administrative Accounting Assistant. However, during our busy season, Tax Season is a 35 hour work week and mandatory from February through April with pay.

Job Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain office calendar (Google Calendar), including plan, scheduling
and confirm appointments

- Handle abundance of emails during tax season (Gmail)
- Manage deadlines with the team such as bookkeeping, sales tax, payroll, audits, business and personal tax returns
- Draft correspondences to IRS and NYS and other formal documents
- Processing invoices and payments using QuickBooks
- Answer high call volume during tax season & inquiries with professionalism & excellent phone etiquette
- Organize and maintain files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality

- Filing & scanning documents
- Oversee accounting office such as ordering supplies and greeting clients etc.
- Be able to work full time hours (35) during Tax Season (2 1/2 Months)

Skills:

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using office software applications (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Word & Excel & Google Calendar & Google Sheets, Gmail & MailChimp & Social Media posting)
- Experience in working at CPA or Accounting Office is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment during tax season
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Notary is a plus

  • Previous experience in office administration position

  • Experience in Excel (create spreadsheets)
  • Experience in Microsoft Word (write business letters)
