Available Work Schedule (Days & Time): Hours may vary based on the needs of the project; We expect an average of 10 hours a week over 26 weeks; M-F between the hours of 8:00 a.m. โ€“ 5:00 p.m. EST

Salary: $22/hour (This is a grant-funded position and is dependent on the availability of funding)


Overview

TruMerit is seeking a Research Assistant who will play a key role in supporting the coordination and execution of a multi-phase research study. Responsibilities include managing participant recruitment and communications, scheduling and organizing virtual and in-person meetings, and maintaining tracking systems for study activities and participation. The Research Assistant will assist with survey administration, data organization, and preparation and distribution of study materials, while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail across all project tasks. In addition, they will support logistical planning for meetings and events, maintain organized documentation and records, and collaborate closely with the project team to ensure that all activities are completed efficiently and in alignment with project timelines. This position is 25% FTE with flexible hours based on the project and is dependent on grant funding availability.


Preference will be given to individuals with knowledge of English Language Proficiency (ELP) standards for healthcare professionals immigrating to the United States, using the redesigned Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT). The Research Assistantโ€™s efforts will provide a transparent and scientifically grounded foundation for federal guidance and regulatory decision-making, ultimately supporting patient safety, workforce integration, and equitable credentialing practices.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, with preference given to those with or seeking a graduate degree

  • English Language Proficiency (ELP) standards
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT)
  • Healthcare regulation and workforce development
  • Those within commuting distance of Philadelphia

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to move throughout the office or home workspace as needed.
  • Required to type, talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
