What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

A part-time insurance agent can potentially earn around $4,000 a week through commissions and sales, especially with experience and a strong client base. Success in this role depends on sales skills, product knowledge, and the ability to build relationships, often without requiring a college degree. High earnings are typically achieved through commission-based pay and a flexible schedule.

Is selling insurance a good part-time job?

Part-time insurance agents sell policies to clients and often work flexible hours, making it suitable for those seeking part-time employment. Success in this role typically requires sales skills, industry knowledge, and sometimes certification, with income often based on commissions and performance. It can be a good option for individuals interested in sales and customer service with the potential for earning commissions on policies sold.

How does working as a part-time insurance agent impact commission structure and client management responsibilities?

As a part-time insurance agent, your commission structure is typically similar to that of full-time agents, but your earning potential depends on the number of clients you engage and policies you sell. You'll often manage a smaller client portfolio, which allows for flexible scheduling but may require strong time management to balance appointments, follow-ups, and administrative duties. Collaboration with full-time agents and office staff is common, especially for training, lead sharing, or handling complex cases. Many agencies offer mentorship and ongoing training, which can support career advancement into full-time or senior roles if desired.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part Time Insurance Agent, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Insurance Agent, you need a solid understanding of insurance products, strong sales skills, and typically a state-issued insurance license. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and quoting systems is often required. Excellent interpersonal communication, self-motivation, and time management are standout soft skills in this role. These competencies are crucial for building client trust, meeting sales targets, and efficiently managing a flexible work schedule.

What are part time insurance agents?

Part time insurance agents are professionals who sell insurance policies and provide related services, but work fewer hours than full-time agents. They typically assist clients in choosing the right insurance coverage, explain policy details, and help with claims processing. Working part time allows them to balance other commitments, such as another job or personal responsibilities, while still earning commissions and building client relationships. Part time agents may work for insurance agencies, brokers, or independently.

Can I work part-time as an insurance broker?

Yes, insurance brokers often work part-time, especially if they are independent agents or new to the industry. Part-time roles may require licensing, knowledge of insurance products, and flexible scheduling to meet client needs.

ABOUT OUR AGENCY:
In our agency, we believe every day is an opportunity to plan for a brighter future. I’ve had the honor of serving my community for the past 14 years, and being a State Farm agent has truly changed my life both personally and professionally. I was born in Mexico City and moved to Omaha in the mid-90s. Most of my family is still in Mexico, and I visit as often as I can.
Family means everything to me — my parents taught me to work hard, be honest, and treat others the way I want to be treated. I never imagined I would become an insurance agent, but this career has become one of the most rewarding paths I could have taken. It has allowed me to build deep connections within the community, many of which have turned into lifelong friendships. My incredible team works hard to support our customers across Bellevue, Omaha, Council Bluffs, and throughout Nebraska and Iowa.
We offer a Simple IRA, a hiring bonus, and strong work–life balance. We’re looking for individuals who are hardworking and passionate about making a real difference in the community. If you’re someone who values connection, service, and growth, this is a place where your work can truly matter.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative to support our service team with general administrative and back-office responsibilities. In this role, you’ll act as an extra set of hands for the team - helping with day-to-day tasks, assisting with customer needs, and providing coverage whenever team members are out of the office.
This position begins at 25 hours per week with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as you grow within the agency. Candidates must be willing to obtain their insurance licenses (agency support provided).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with administrative duties including filing, scanning, data entry, and document organization
  • Support the service team with customer requests and policy-related tasks
  • Manage incoming calls and route inquiries appropriately
  • Provide coverage for team members when they are out of the office
  • Maintain accurate and organized records across agency systems
  • Jump in on general office tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Comfortable learning new systems and following established processes
  • Willingness to obtain required insurance licenses (support available)
  • Previous administrative or customer service experience preferred
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a supportive team environment, and wants a path toward full-time growth within the agency.
