COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS PARKS AND RECREATION SERVICE AREA

POSITION OPENING

PILATES INSTRUCTOR


Schedule:?Flexible scheduling, early mornings,?including weekdays and weekends, based on program needs and instructor availability. Non-seasonal, part-time, non-benefitted staff.


SALARY RANGE: $21- $25 per class, DOE; all part-time employees receive a $20 premium family membership with employment.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Current AFAA, NASM, ACE, or similar certification required.
  • Current Pilates certification or training
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/First-Aid/AED certification or completion of certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Approved Criminal Background Investigation check if over 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience teaching group fitness is preferred.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead fun, safe, and effective Pilates classes for participants of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
  • Demonstrate exercises and provide clear instruction, motivation, and modifications to meet individual needs.
  • Create an inclusive and positive environment that encourages participation and supports healthy lifestyles.
  • Monitor participants and respond appropriately to safety concerns, injuries, or emergencies.
  • Prepare and maintain fitness spaces and equipment before and after classes.

Supervision

This position works under the supervision of the Group Fitness Coordinator.
