Job description

Make a positive impact by supporting English language learners on their journey to success.   The Interactive College of Technology is currently seeking part-time instructors for the English as a Second Language Department at the Chamblee Campus, with the potential for full-time opportunities. Morning and evening shifts are available for both in person as well as virtual classes.

ESL Instructors are the primary motivational source for students enrolled in courses at ICT and assume responsibility for providing quality instruction in an energized and engaging classroom environment. Instructors conduct all courses within the structured syllabus and lesson plans, maintain gradebooks, and document student participation and progress.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Instructs all classes as outlined in the course syllabus, ensuring the total classroom environment is conducted in English only.

  • Maintains a professional, well-managed classroom within the policies of the institution and begins every class on time.
  • Keeps up-to-date gradebooks and regularly posts student progress and engagement to student log notes.

  • Promptly notifies the student advisors of any concerns that may affect student success.

  • Makes recommendations as appropriate for curricula, course, or institutional enhancements.

  • Achieves target goals for student participation and success rates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience teaching adults in a structured environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TEFL / TESL certification or a Master’s degree in TESOL or a related field
