A part time instructional designer creates and develops educational materials and learning experiences, such as online courses, training modules, or workshops, on a flexible or reduced hours schedule. They work with subject matter experts to design curriculum, select appropriate instructional technologies, and assess the effectiveness of learning programs. Their responsibilities often include writing content, building interactive activities, and ensuring materials meet learning objectives—all while balancing their workload with limited weekly hours.

How do part-time instructional designers typically collaborate with subject matter experts and other team members?

Part-time instructional designers often work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, and multimedia specialists to develop effective learning materials. Job description

Dance Instructor (Part-Time W-2 Employee) ABOUT US

DivaDance is a sexy, sweaty, stress-free dance experience for adults! We're the #1 brand for pop music-inspired, choreography-based dance classes, programs, and parties, with more than 50 locations across the U.S. and Mexico.

Joining the DivaDance team is an opportunity to change lives, empower others, and do what you love while helping people build confidence and community through dance. We offer flexible part-time W-2 employment, comprehensive training, ongoing coaching, leadership opportunities, and the chance to grow with a fun, supportive, values-driven organization.

THE GIG

Are you the Queen (or King!) Bee every time you walk into a room? Do you love performing, creating choreography, and helping others feel confident, strong, and unstoppable?

As a DivaDance Instructor, you'll lead high-energy, all-levels dance classes using the DivaDance teaching method and signature class format. Every class is designed to be fun, welcoming, and empowering-whether someone is taking their very first dance class or has been dancing for years.

This is a part-time W-2 employee position. You'll be scheduled to teach regular weekly classes, receive ongoing coaching and support, and be part of a collaborative team committed to delivering an exceptional client experience.

We're looking for someone with a magnetic personality, strong teaching skills, and excellent communication. Our instructors are dependable, professional, and responsive. If you're frequently late, cancel at the last minute, or struggle with follow-through, this probably isn't the right role for you.

Before teaching your first class, you'll complete our Instructor Development Program, where you'll learn the DivaDance teaching method, class format, choreography standards, and client experience expectations. There is no cost to you for this professional development.

  • Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to lead an outstanding class
  • Build genuine relationships with clients and help foster a welcoming community
  • Communicate promptly with your manager regarding scheduling, substitutions, and class needs
  • Participate in onboarding, training, coaching, and occasional team meetings
HOURS, COMPENSATION & LOCATION

This is a part-time W-2 employee position.

We're looking for instructors who can commit to teaching 1-2 classes each week, primarily during evenings, with occasional weekend opportunities.

DivaDance partners with local dance and fitness studios rather than operating our own dedicated studios. Reliable transportation is required.

Starting pay is $25 per class, paid through payroll as a W-2 employee. Compensation per class increases with tenure, starting at 25 classes.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required Qualifications
  • Experience teaching dance and creating original choreography for adults
  • An energetic, engaging personality with confidence leading groups
  • Dependable, professional, and highly responsive communication skills
  • Passion for creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome
  • Reliable transportation to class locations
  • Authorization to work in the United States and eligibility for W-2 employment
Bonus Qualifications
  • Dance team, drill team, cheerleading, or professional performance experience
  • Group fitness or dance fitness instruction
  • Experience building community through teaching, coaching, or events
WHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE
  • Flexible part-time schedule
  • W-2 employee status with payroll support
  • Paid training and ongoing coaching
  • Opportunity to inspire confidence and make a real impact
  • Supportive, collaborative team environment
  • Leadership and growth opportunities within a national brand
  • The chance to dance, have fun, and get paid doing what you love
HOW TO APPLY

Our application process includes submitting a video of your original choreography so we can get a feel for your creativity, teaching style, and personality.

Applications without a choreography sample will not be considered.

If you're passionate about dance, thrive on creating unforgettable experiences, and want to help people discover their confidence through movement, we'd love to meet you!
