Concord Road Elementary School is seeking an innovative and student-centered part-time (.4) Teacher of English as a New Language (ENL) for the 2026-2027 school year.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
The English as a New Language teacher/teacher of Multilingual Learners will provide targeted language instruction and support to multilingual learners in grades K-4. Additionally, the teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure students receive appropriate language development instruction aligned with their individual needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid New York State certification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Childhood Education (1-6)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged multilingual learners preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to supporting equity, inclusion, and the academic success of all learners

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Part-time position: 0.4 (across five days a week)
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Delivering direct ENL services to identified students in Kindergarten through fourth grade
  • Developing and implementing language acquisition goals based on students' English proficiency levels
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers to support content-area learning and differentiation
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining required documentation
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of instructional plans

EVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated annually using the same method as teachers.
