Job Title: High School Substitute Teacher, Part-time
Reports to: Principal
Location:Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School | Sarasota Florida

Overview
Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School in Sarasota, Florida is seeking a Substitute Teacher. This position will provide educational instruction to students in assigned age group or subject area for short-term or long-term assignments.
Job Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver educational instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assigned when regular teacher is unavailable.
  • Provide corrective feedback to students and re-teach as necessary, to insure students have mastered the objections.
  • Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians and other educators to assist the students.
  • Implement approved-course curriculum.
  • Implement modifications in a student's education plan as required.
  • Complete written reports and assigned administrative tasks related to these functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Principal.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Florida State Certification (or approved application for Certification)
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Knowledge of theory and practice of student learning styles
  • Ability to remain calm and pleasant under stressful circumstances
  • Ability to communicate cooperatively and effectively with staff, students and parents.
  • Strong computer skills.
