) Receptionist
The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is searching for a Part-Time Receptionist. This vital position welcomes our guests and helps create incredible first impressions.
Availability Necessary:
Every other weekend Saturday and Sunday from 8 am - 4:00 pm
Rotating holiday coverage and flexibility to work week days as needed.
Essential Functions:
  • Greet persons entering facility, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
  • Telephone conversations, email, writing letters and memos, and face-to-face discussions with individuals and/or team.
  • Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
  • Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
  • Perform Administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc.;
  • Provide information to resident/families as necessary, or refer to appropriate department or agency.
  • Type and prepare confidential reports/spreadsheets.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Computer experience required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to life, push, pull and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents, if necessary.

Evenings, weekends and holiday rotation is a must; Flexibility during the week for additional hours is a must.
Salary $18 an hour
