Job Description
Performs responsible paraprofessional work opening, closing, and monitoring facility operations and assisting with and supervising activities. Does related work as required. Duties are performed under regular supervision.
The hiring salary for this position is $15.71/hour to $21.61/hour based on experience.
The full salary range for this position is $15.71/hour to $27.50/hour to provide opportunity for growth and development.
Examples of Duties
  • Prepares facilities for use; oversees facility operations; monitors activities and enforces rules;
  • Opens and closes public facilities;
  • Sets up facilities; prepares supplies and equipment;
  • Supervises the conduct of a variety of activities;
  • Enforces standards of discipline and conduct by customers and participants;
  • Maintains stores and inventories of equipment, materials, and supplies;
  • Provides information to the public regarding operational rules and activities;
  • Performs related tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Some knowledge of the methods and practices of community activities including knowledge of the equipment and techniques, relevant rules, and regulations of programs for participants and customers;
  • Ability to instruct and assist customers and participants regarding the activities being supervised;
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with other workers, program participants, and the general public;
  • Ability to enforce rules and regulations and maintain discipline.

Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or equivalent. Some experience in working with the public is desired.
