Job description

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker, earning $17.50–$22.50/hour, at our Aspire Academy Program in Orem, Utah. In this role, you'll support adolescent females ages 12–17 in a structured, therapeutic setting, many of whom are in state custody and need intensive mental health support and supervision. You'll build meaningful connections while helping clients navigate challenges like trauma, self-harm, substance use, and family disruption. If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth, we'd love to have you on our team.

Schedule: Sunday–Saturday (days are varied), 2:00 PM–11:00 PM (hours are varied)
Compensation: $17.50–$22.17 DOE

What You'll Do as a Human Service Worker

  • Provide compassionate support and supervision to adolescent clients in a structured, therapeutic setting
  • Build positive relationships while modeling healthy behaviors and coping skills
  • Facilitate daily routines, structured activities, and skills-based groups
  • Support clients through crises and help maintain a safe, stable environment
  • Document client interactions, behaviors, and progress accurately
  • Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, and team members to support client care

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
  • Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards
  • Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
