Description:
Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic is looking for a full time Medical Technologist.
Shift: Part-Time Day, every third weekend, 2 holidays per year
We are seeking a Point-of-Care coordinator to oversee and manage all aspects of point-of-care testing (POCT) across Nazareth Hospital. The POCC will ensure regulatory compliance, train and assess staff competency, monitor quality control, and serve as the liaison between the laboratory and clinical departments.
Responsibilities:
- Train and certify clinical staff on POCT devices
- Maintain quality control, documentation, and compliance with CAP, CLIA and Joint Commission.
- Oversee instrument performance, troubleshooting and vendor relations Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required - ASCP certification preferred - 2-3 years of clinical laboratory experience, POCT experience preferred - Strong communication and organizational skills
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
  • 2-3 years of clinical laboratory experience, POCT experience preferred
  • Master's or doctorate in chemistry, biology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, allied health, clinical laboratory sciences or an appropriately related field (preferred)
  • Possess or be eligible for Technologist certification (BB, C, CG, CT, H, HTL, MLS, M, MB) by ASCP
  • With Bachelor's; MT (ASCP) certification or eligible.
  • Certified as MT (HEW)
  • Certified as MT (AMT)
