• MUST BE A CERTIFIED HISTO TECH (HTL) WITH (QIHC) IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY STAINS AND TROUBLESHOOTING OF PROGRAMS AND PROTOCOLS.
• 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN HOSPITAL SETTING REQUIRED
• MUST BE FLEXIBLE

· Number of Staff – 2 FTEs
· Type of staff:
o Day Shift – 2 Histotechs
o Night Shift - None
Type of equipment – 2 Roche Benchmark Ultra IHC stainers, 1 Roche Special Stainer, 3 Sakura tissue processors, 1 – Thermo fisher Embedding system, 4 – Thermo Fisher slide labelers, 1 – Sakura H&E Stainer/Coverslipper, 4 – Leica Microtomes
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Embedding
• Perform Microtomy
• IHC Experience
• Special Stains
• Managing/troubleshooting staining instrumentation

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Experience working with little supervision
higher certification (HTL) with more extensive training which allows them to do Immunohistochemistry stains and troubleshooting of programs and protocols
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· Logging incoming tissues
· Embedding tissues
· Cutting tissue for staining
· Place slides on staining equipment
· Filing slides and cassettes
