What are part-time hotel jobs?

Part-time hotel jobs are positions within the hospitality industry that require employees to work fewer hours than a full-time schedule, typically less than 35-40 hours per week. These jobs may include roles such as front desk clerk, housekeeper, bellhop, or server in a hotel restaurant. Part-time hotel employees often have flexible work hours and may work evenings, weekends, or holidays to accommodate guest needs. These positions are ideal for students, those seeking supplemental income, or individuals looking for work-life balance. Part-time hotel jobs can also provide valuable customer service experience and opportunities for career advancement within the hospitality sector.

What hotel job pays the most?

In the hotel industry, executive roles such as general managers and hotel directors typically earn the highest salaries, often exceeding six figures annually. These positions require extensive experience, leadership skills, and often a relevant hospitality management certification. Other high-paying roles include revenue managers and food and beverage directors, depending on the hotel's size and location.

Can I work at a hotel and live there?

Part-time hotel employees typically do not live on-site unless the hotel offers staff accommodations or has specific housing arrangements. Most hotel staff commute daily to work, and living on-site is usually not a standard requirement or option for part-time roles. Housing policies vary by hotel and location, so it is important to confirm with the employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part-Time Hotel Employee, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part-Time Hotel Employee, you need customer service skills, basic hospitality knowledge, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with reservation systems, point-of-sale (POS) software, and housekeeping or front desk tools is typically required. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities help you deliver excellent guest experiences and handle various situations efficiently. These skills and qualities are important to ensure smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Is it hard to get hired at a hotel?

Getting hired for a part-time hotel position typically depends on the job's requirements, your experience, and the current demand. Entry-level roles often have a straightforward application process, but competition can vary based on location and season. Having good customer service skills and a flexible schedule can improve your chances of being hired.

What are some typical responsibilities and challenges for part-time hotel employees?

Part-time hotel employees often rotate between various responsibilities such as front desk support, assisting with guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and providing general customer service. They may also support housekeeping or food service during busy periods. One common challenge is adapting quickly to changing guest needs and maintaining high service standards during peak hours, especially with a variable schedule. Despite these challenges, working part-time in a hotel can provide valuable experience in hospitality, teamwork, and customer relations, as well as potential pathways to full-time or supervisory roles.

Join the Bellevue Club team.
As the premier athletic and social club on Seattle's Eastside, the Bellevue Club is a gathering place for the Northwest's most celebrated and visionary citizens. Dedicated to the well-being of its members, the property merges 250,000 square feet of world-class fitness facilities and four innovative dining spaces with unique recreational, social, and business areas. Members enjoy yoga classes, tennis matches, lunches with family, wine dinners, and more. The property is also home to the Bellevue Club Hotel, a luxury 66-room boutique hotel, and a full-service spa offering cutting-edge wellness and aesthetic services.

We are specifically seeking an experienced lash extension esthetician to help meet strong client demand and ensure continuity of care while our full-time esthetician is on maternity leave. This position will primarily support existing lash clients while also providing advanced skincare and waxing services.

This role is ideal for a professional who is confident in lash extensions (classic, hybrid, and volume), highly skilled in client retention, and passionate about delivering exceptional, personalized spa experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform professional facial, skincare, waxing, and eyelash extension services in accordance with Bellevue Club spa standards.
  • Provide lash extension services including consultations, full sets (classic, hybrid, volume), fills, and removals while maintaining lash health and retention quality.
  • Assess client needs and customize treatments to deliver safe, effective, and results-driven services.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and support ongoing retention through education and personalized recommendations.
  • Educate clients on proper aftercare for both skincare and eyelash extension services.
  • Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes as required.
  • Ensure treatment rooms and tools are cleaned, sanitized, and fully prepared between services.
  • Uphold all sanitation and safety standards in accordance with Washington State Board of Cosmetology regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of current spa services, trends, and retail offerings to support client education and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with spa leadership and team members to ensure seamless guest experience and service coverage.
  • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education sessions.
  • Support spa operations by assisting with inventory awareness and general spa upkeep as needed.

Requirements:
  • Active Washington State Esthetician or Master Esthetician license (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in eyelash extensions (classic, hybrid, and volume required or strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of facial treatments, skincare, and waxing techniques
  • Excellent client communication and consultation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and sanitation standards
  • Professional, polished demeanor suited to a luxury membership environment
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused spa setting
  • Availability for part-time schedule (less than 30 hours per week), including some weekends or peak business hours

We Offer:
  • Pay range: $27-$60 per hour
  • Free access to Club facilities and amenities
  • Complementary group fitness classes
  • Discounts at Club restaurants, Spa services and products
  • Opportunities for advancement in other roles within the Bellevue Club
  • Employee Recognition
  • Training and Development
  • A luxurious, recently remodeled hotel and cutting-edge fitness facility
  • A unique, thriving, fun and busy environment.
  • Free parking and other great perks!
