Job Purpose:
At Cherry Hills Country Club, the Receptionist creates memorable experiences for our members and guests by providing customized responses to all inquiries and requests relative to the Club services, amenities, hours of operation, facilities, personnel, and events. We are seeking an individual with excellent attention to detail, interpersonal skills and hospitality skills who eagerly anticipates the needs of others and has a passion for providing the highest level of customer service and professionalism on the phone, in person, and in written e-mail communications. This individual must be capable of working independently; on a team; and cross-functionally while maintaining positive relations. The ideal candidate enjoys multi-tasking, collaboration, problem solving, and can effectively adapt to various business volumes. The Reception desk operates from 8:00am-8:00pm daily. Flexibility working nights and weekends and holidays is expected.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Create a welcoming and inviting experience at the main entrance of the Clubhouse by actively greeting and engaging with members, guests, vendors, visitors, and Club personnel upon arrival and departure.
  • Promptly respond to all telephone and e-mail inquiries and requests in an efficient, friendly, and courteous manner, using member names, recognizing member preferences, routing calls to proper extensions, and adding special recommendations and touches to exceed expectations.
  • Constantly keep informed of Club updates to ensure accuracy in communicating details regarding facilities, hours of operation, personnel, special programming, functions, and reservation availability.
  • Utilize Club Management Software to confirm dining, event, youth activities, and fitness reservations and ensure member satisfaction. Closely monitor and adjust waitlists for events and seating times to ensure all parties are accommodated.
  • Take preliminary details, messages, and ownership of simple requests for other departments during periods of high demand or absence of personnel. Ensure success of Reception team by providing thorough details of any pending items, questions, or concerns in daily departmental communication.
  • Circulate daily internal communications and reporting - set all Club departments up for success by providing other departments with details regarding events, reservations, tee times, special occasions, private functions, calendars, banquet event orders, etc.
  • Have knowledge and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
  • Maintain Club's lost and found items by tracking and safeguarding these items.
  • Assist various departments with projects or administrative duties such as folding, stuffing, labeling, and stamping envelopes for large mailings; preparing birthday cards; preparing event name tags; logging parking permits; creating address labels; laminating; copying; printing; inputting work order tickets; etc.
  • Carefully sort all mail received at the Club - ensure each piece of mail is set in the mailbox of the appropriate person or department. Assist Membership Accountant with daily collection, log, and endorsement of member payments received in mail or hand delivery.
  • Ensure Reception desk and surrounding work areas are always clean, tidy, presentable, and well stocked with office supplies needed for success.

Requirements
  • Polished and professional demeanor supported by an articulate use of the English language.
  • Experience communicating effectively with a wide range of people on the phone, in person, and via email.
  • Previous club, hotel, resort, restaurant experience preferred or demonstrated success in other fast-paced environments delivering the highest levels of service.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications : Word, Excel, Outlook. Will train on Club-specific software.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a part-time position offered at $21-23/hour
Sick pay up to 48 hours a year - accrued based on hours worked
