This facility is seeking a Psychiatrist for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.  


Details and requirements for this opportunity: 

  • Schedule: Starting in Sept. 2026. Minimum commitment of 1 year. Initially one day per week (part-time psychiatry job - est. 4 to 8 hours/wk), delivered primarily via secure telepsychiatry, with on-site presence approximately once per month (or as mutually agreed).
  • Practice Setting: IP PTSD and Addiction Treatment Facility
  • Scope:  United States Veterans with dual-diagnosis presentations, including complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Military Sexual Trauma (MST). Veterans are often referred following acute instability, prolonged system engagement, or barriers to timely VA-based placement.
  • Credentialing Timeframe: ~6-8 Weeks
  • State Licensure: Alabama or Interstate Medical Compact License (IMLC)
  • Requirements: Board Eligible or Board Certified, Active State License, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Controlled Substance Registration (CSR), and use of Icanotes Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
