Join our team at Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller, where compassionate care, clinical excellence, and patient comfort are at the heart of everything we do. Our specialized team provides a wide range of outpatient infusion and treatment services, including IV infusions, blood and blood product transfusions, IV antibiotic therapy, hydration therapy, iron replacement therapy, electrolyte therapy, IVIG, injections, central line care and maintenance, and therapeutic phlebotomy. Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller offers a collaborative, patient-focused environment dedicated to delivering high-quality care that helps patients manage complex conditions while maintaining their daily lives.

How you'll contribute  

A Receptionist who excels in this role will: 

  • Deliver compassionate, professional customer service by welcoming patients, caregivers, and visitors while ensuring a positive and supportive infusion center experience.

  • Serve as the primary communication hub for the infusion center by answering and directing calls, managing voicemails, responding to patient and provider inquiries, and relaying critical information to clinical staff.

  • Coordinate and manage new, recurring, and follow-up infusion appointments, maintain accurate scheduling records, perform appointment confirmations, and communicate schedule changes with patients, providers, pharmacy, and registration staff.

  • Support efficient patient flow by verifying demographic and insurance information, facilitating registration and check-in/check-out processes, notifying nurses of patient arrivals, and assisting with referral and documentation requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with nurses, pharmacists, registration staff, and provider offices to coordinate patient care, obtain required clinical information, and promote safe, high-quality outpatient infusion services.

  • Maintain accurate medical records through chart preparation, scanning, filing, fax management, medical record requests, and ongoing documentation support to ensure compliance and continuity of care.

  • Facilitate daily operational logistics by transporting medications, laboratory specimens, blood products, and departmental supplies between the infusion center and hospital departments while supporting inventory and patient hospitality needs.

What we're looking for  
 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.

  • Previous experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, healthcare registration, or customer service role preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient service.

  • Proficiency with computer systems, electronic health records (EHRs), and standard office software.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required, with the ability to safely operate a company vehicle between the Infusion Center and hospital locations.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise professionalism, and work collaboratively as part of a patient-focused healthcare team.
