How much do part time growth equity jobs pay per year?

As of Aug 7, 2026, the average yearly pay for part time growth equity in the United States is $100,180.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $69,000.00 and $120,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What is a part time growth equity role?

A Part Time Growth Equity role involves working with investment teams to identify, evaluate, and support investments in rapidly growing companies, but on a reduced or flexible schedule. Professionals in these positions may assist with market research, financial modeling, due diligence, and portfolio management, typically for venture capital or private equity firms. The part-time nature of the job allows individuals to contribute to high-impact investment decisions while balancing other commitments, such as education or entrepreneurship. These roles are ideal for those seeking exposure to the finance and startup sectors without a full-time commitment.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in part time growth equity roles, and how can they be addressed?

A common challenge in part-time growth equity roles is managing the fast-paced, dynamic demands of deal sourcing and due diligence while working limited hours. Effective time management and clear communication with full-time team members are essential to stay aligned on priorities and ensure critical tasks are completed on schedule. Additionally, staying updated on market trends and maintaining strong relationships with portfolio companies can be more challenging on a part-time basis, so leveraging collaborative tools and regular check-ins with the team can help maintain engagement and effectiveness.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time growth equity professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Growth Equity professional, you need strong analytical skills, financial modeling proficiency, and a solid understanding of private equity or venture capital principles, often supported by a degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases such as PitchBook or Capital IQ is typically required. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently make candidates stand out in this role. These skills are crucial for evaluating investment opportunities, supporting deal execution, and contributing effectively to a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
