Prep Cook — Part Time
Athenian Grill | 313 South Ashland Avenue, Lexington, KY

Athenian Grill is a family-owned Greek restaurant serving fresh, made-from-scratch food. We're hiring a part-time Prep Cook to help keep our kitchen stocked and ready for service.

What you'll do

  • Wash, chop, and portion vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
  • Prepare sauces, dressings, and marinades to recipe
  • Stock and organize prep stations and coolers before and during service
  • Label, date, and rotate product to keep everything fresh
  • Keep the kitchen clean and sanitary and follow all food safety standards
  • Support the line and other kitchen staff during busy periods

What we're looking for

  • Reliable and on time — that matters more than experience
  • Comfortable with knives and basic kitchen equipment
  • Able to stand for the length of a shift and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Willing to learn Greek cuisine and our recipes
