Part Time Graphics Designer Jobs in Vermont (NOW HIRING)

The School of STEM Department of Natural Sciences at Vermont State University - Lyndon Campus invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position in Atmospheric Sciences for Fall 2026 (August 24 -December 18, 2026).

Current course assignment opportunity:

• ATM 3270 - Television Weather Graphics

• 1 hour of remote and in-person on-campus instruction per week (1 teaching credits).

This course introduces students to graphical software used to generate daily weather stories for television and digital platform presentations. Students will learn how to construct accurate and visually appealing weather graphics using The Weather Company software. Additionally, students learn best practices for generating a television broadcast.

Additional instructional opportunities in the Natural Sciences may become available throughout the academic year as staffing and curricular needs arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or better in Climate Science or a related field or equivalent experience in the field. Teaching experience at the college level is preferable. Salary: Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.

Budgeted Wage for this Position: $1648.00

Faculty Load: 1 Workload credits, minimum starting salary is $1648 per workload credit.

VTSU Lyndon Campus, Lyndonville, Vermont. The Lyndon Atmospheric Sciences Program has a long and proud history of maintaining a rigorous and modern curriculum that prepares students for success across a variety of career concentrations. The Atmospheric Sciences B.S. degree has concentrations in climate change, National Weather Service, broadcasting, and private industry, and it satisfies the requirements for federal employment as a meteorologist, as well as the course requirements recommended by the American Meteorological Society (AMS). Students and faculty have access to well-supported facilities including a large weather deck, local weather station network, and dedicated computer lab and research space.
