As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a government utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential hazards.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site personnel and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and logs for patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and maintain readiness of assigned equipment.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
