Job description

About the Role
We are looking for a Local SEO Specialist with hands-on, proven experience improving the visibility and rankings of local businesses on Google.
We are intentionally keeping this search broad. What matters most to us is practical Local SEO expertise, strong execution, and the ability to demonstrate real results - more than seniority, location, or a specific employment arrangement.
The ideal candidate understands how to improve a local business's presence across Google Search and Google Maps, can work independently, and knows how to turn SEO data into actionable strategies.
What You'll Do
  • Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles (Google Maps).
  • Conduct local keyword research and competitor analysis.
  • Analyze local rankings and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Set up and manage local rank tracking.
  • Implement On-Page and Local SEO optimizations.
  • Manage local citations and ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency.
  • Analyze SEO performance using relevant SEO and analytics tools.
  • Identify technical and content-related opportunities to improve local visibility.
  • Work on AI Search Optimization / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO / AEO) strategies.
  • Follow established processes while identifying opportunities to improve them.
  • Work independently and communicate progress, findings, and recommendations clearly.
What We're Looking For
Hands-on Local SEO experience is essential.
You should have practical experience with:
  • Google Business Profile / Google Maps.
  • Local keyword research.
  • Local competitor analysis.
  • Local rankings and rank tracking.
  • On-Page SEO and Local SEO optimization.
  • Local citations and NAP consistency.
  • SEO and analytics tools.
  • AI Search Optimization / GEO / AEO.
  • Working independently and following established processes.
English Is Required
Fluent English is a mandatory requirement for this position.
You must be comfortable communicating professionally in English, both written and spoken, as you will work directly with an English-speaking team and clients.
Candidates who cannot communicate effectively in English will not be considered.
Nice to Have
Experience working with home service businesses is a strong plus, especially:
  • Roofing
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC
  • Electrical
  • Landscaping
  • Construction / Contractors
  • Other local home service businesses

However, this is not required. Strong Local SEO experience is what matters most.
Work Arrangement
We are open to different types of collaboration:
Location: Worldwide - location is not a requirement
Work setup: 100% Remote
Availability: Part-time or Full-time
Engagement: Hourly, project-based, freelance, or ongoing
We are flexible on the structure for the right person.
REQUIRED: 2-3 Minute Loom Video
As part of the selection process, serious candidates must submit a 2-3 minute Loom video in English explaining one successful Local SEO case study they personally worked on.
In the video, please briefly explain:
  1. What was the client/business?
  2. What was the SEO problem or goal?
  3. What did you personally do?
  4. Which Local SEO strategies and tools did you use?
  5. What results did you achieve?

The Loom is very important to us.
We want to evaluate your actual knowledge, communication skills, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience, rather than relying solely on your resume.
What Matters Most
We are not necessarily looking for the person with the most years of experience.
We prioritize:
Practical experience → Quality of execution → Proven results → Ability to communicate clearly
If you know how to improve a local business's visibility on Google, can explain the strategies you've used, and can demonstrate real results, we want to hear from you.
