Job description

Le Triomphe Golf & Country Club, located in Broussard, AL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a seasonal, part-time Golf Pro Shop Assistant! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Role Type: Seasonal (position will last 6 months or less)
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals on the daily management of golf operations.
  • Assist with golfer check-in and fee collection; control and manage play; reconciles daily tee sheets.
  • Assist in administering all point of sales application revisions and needs as it applies to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.
  • Promotes all club golf activities.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop.
  • Assist with maintaining proper records and billing of storage and lockers for membership.
  • Assist golf professionals during tournaments and weekly games.
  • Monitors all members' scores, reports handicapping to USGA and bills members.
  • Follows established opening and closing procedures.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Work Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Prefer previous golf course and/or retail experience.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Prefer some College or College Degree, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Traits:
  • Must be motivated to thrive in the golf industry.
  • Experienced in written and oral business communication.
  • Experienced in computer user including Microsoft Word, Excel, & Publisher. Proficient in other applications, i.e., email, internet, and database.
  • Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated with desire to promote and market.
  • Service and customer focused attitude.
  • Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.
