is excited to continue growing across Colorado Springs! As part of our 2026-2027 school year expansion, we are opening 7 new programs in District 11, and we are looking for seven passionate, creative, and driven leaders to join our team as Part-Time Afternoon Site Directors.
This is an exciting opportunity to help build program culture from the ground up, lead your own school community, mentor staff, and create meaningful experiences for students and families every day!
Our Site Directors are more than supervisors! They are culture builders, curriculum leaders, mentors, and community partners who help shape safe, engaging, and enriching programs where students can learn, grow, and thrive.
Start Date & Training
This position officially begins August 3, 2026. The first week will consist of paid orientation and training to prepare Site Directors for a successful launch of the school year beginning August 12, 2026.
Training will include program operations, licensing expectations, curriculum planning, safety procedures, leadership development, and Leading Edge program culture.
Position Details:
Part-Time Afternoon Site Director
District 11 - Colorado Springs, CO
Approximately 21 hours per week
Monday through Friday. Program hours will be 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Pay Range: $22-$25 per hour, depending on experience
Biweekly Pay every other Friday
What You'll Do
Site Directors are responsible for shaping their site's culture, driving curriculum, mentoring staff, ensuring compliance with licensing standards, and partnering with school communities.
Key Responsibilities
• Train, mentor, and supervise site staff
• Oversee daily program operations and student safety
• Create engaging curriculum and enrichment opportunities
• Maintain compliance with Colorado state licensing requirements
• Ensure proper staff-to-student ratios and smooth daily transitions
• Communicate regularly with families, school staff, and administrators
• Complete attendance tracking, documentation, and incident reports
• Support onboarding and coaching of new team members
• Foster a welcoming, structured, and inclusive environment for students
Curriculum Leadership
At Leading Edge, Site Directors are empowered to create engaging, student-centered curriculum that reflect the unique needs and interests of their school community.
Each month, Directors will be provided with themed curriculum options designed to support creativity, engagement, and consistency across programs. Site Directors have flexibility in choosing which labs and activities to implement throughout the month, as long as programming aligns with the designated monthly themes and Leading Edge enrichment standards.
While curriculum aligns with our six core enrichment labs, Directors are encouraged to personalize activities, build community engagement, and create meaningful experiences that fit the personality and interests of their students and school community.

• Challenge Lab - Critical thinking games and friendly competitions
• Art Enrichment Lab - Creative projects using a variety of artistic mediums
• Homework Lab - Structured academic support
• Physical Lab - Games and activities promoting movement and teamwork
• Reading Lab - Literacy enrichment and group reading activities
• STEM Lab - Hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math projects
Our Site Directors collaborate with students, families, staff, and school administrators to ensure programs remain engaging, responsive, and impactful.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in education or licensed childcare leadership
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with school-aged children
• Must meet or be able to meet Colorado state licensing qualifications
• Reliable transportation to and from school sites
• Comfortable using technology and web-based systems

Our Hiring Process
Selected applicants will first be invited to participate in an initial virtual screening interview conducted through the Zoom platform with the Recruiting Team. Booking invitations are initiated in our Applicant Tracking System, so be sure to watch for those.
Candidates who move forward after the screening process will then be invited to interview with the District 11 Area Director either virtually or in person.
